So who do you think will win? My guess is the Tories, Labour have voted themselves out of office by there shear incompetence over the last thirteen years.
I will state that there will be a record low turnout of the electorate, and I would hazard a guess that several constituencies will be below the required threshold of being valid.
The losers with be the voters as absolutely nothing will change.
I do remember, and the labour party have been no better, and in my opinion they have been worse.
Time for some electoral reform. PR would be a good start as it would have a more representative parliament based on the votes rather than by the seat system that we currently have.
The BNP are definitely rather rabid, but I was surprised by the UKIP policies. Most of them seem sensible.
Quite glad to live in an area where no matter what I vote, it’s not going to make a flying fu…fox. The local Conservative candidate gets a two thirds vote. Has done since I was born.
Damned glad I don’t live in a marginal ward. I don’t like any of them that much. But if I did, I’d probably vote Liberal on the strength of Vince Cable.
They’re unlikely to ever hold office but could hold the balance.
Roll on PR when we might yet be governed by the party that more people nationaly voted for than didn’t.
If you look at how voting trends have been going, it’s shown that when voters feel that a government is going to change and their vote may actually count, the turnout rockets. I mean compare 1992 to the 1997 election the difference is huge! Couple with that, the fact that turnout has been increasing since an all-time low in 2001.
(Can you tell I study politics?)
And you just wait on the Tories not saying anything… they’ve got something up their sleeve But yeah Brown can go. Like, now. Smug git thinks we’re all stupid and that he can play with us and lie to our faces and thing we won’t know. That and the number of Peers he has in his cabinet shows how unpopular his friends are, they have to be appointed to office rather than be elected!
I hope the party throw him out and all his little buddies.
For me I think I would like to vote for UKIP, but it would be wasted. My local seat is Labour, Lib Dems, Tory. So in order to get Labour out I will have to vote Lib Dem. At least they want PR and other electoral reforms.
Sounds like a good position to be in Kev. I’d like to vote LibDem to show my distaste of everything past. But again a waste in my constituency. So Tory vote here we come.
I have always voted Tory till Mr Blair came on the seen and i voted for labour as i thought he would do something great for the country, how wrong was i. It was Gordon Brown who got us into war and finacial meltdown, it was Blair and he jumped ship just before the sh1t hit the fan and he knew it would.
