the BBA and our role is to encourage innovation and provide reassurance in the construction industry, primarily by assessing the fitness for purpose of a wide range of construction products. Employing some 130 people from our Watford base, the BBA has been at the forefront of technological change in construction for over 40 years and we invest heavily in our people to help us maintain and develop our reputation and service delivery to customers.

An important part of our work is carrying out inspections for: the FENSA self-certification scheme for replacement windows; a BBA Approved Installer Scheme for cavity wall insulation; and schemes covering general building work. To respond to an increase in this work, we now wish to recruit a home-based Inspector motorcyclist to cover the London area, within the M25

You will …

be thorough, self-reliant, self-motivated and able to report findings clearly and accurately. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various trades as well as the general public are required. Experience in the building and construction industry is essential along with knowledge of relevant regulations; previous experience in the window and door industry would be an advantage and you will hold a full, valid motorcycle licence.
