Hi all, I have a R1 4xv model. It’s been a grat bike since owning it but over the past few weeks I’ve noticed it was getting harder to select gears (mainly from first to second) last Tuesday on the wqy from work I pulled off from thw lights changed to second and for some odd reason I the selector lever is jammed!! So now my bike is stuck in second gear I can’t change up or down it’s proper jammed.
Has anyone got any idwas what thia could be? is it a engine out job?

Engine out … probably not … extensive digging …yes probably …Unless its just your linkage thats ferked up .
If it was me I would leave it as it is .
You can do 102 in second gear , as we all ride to the speed limits
There is no need to do anything .

I was hoping the engine didn’t need removing. I think I mite have a look at the linkage and see if I can spot a problem I thought I’d ask just incase someone had come across this problem before.
I did read somewhere that someone had a problem with a return spring on the spline that the lever connects to hopefully it’s a quick fix and ill be up and running again.
