think the rule of thumb is to layer up your security with multiple deterrents, the bike magazines frequently run articles on this topic

the motion alarms wont be much use if they have cut through your chains in 10 seconds 
just one of the security devices i have is a personal attack alarm. it is mounted to the wall, and the pull cord goes around the pin on the side of the up and over door. if the door gets lifted, whoever lifts it gets 120db screaming in their ear.
i also have other things too, but that would be telling

How do you mean? I am not selling them or dealing with them. Just saw them on ebay and though to ask for opinions. Maybe people who didnt know about them, became aware of them now, but no its not a commercial. I liked the personal attack alarm idea! Thanks for this!
