Garage door springs

Bizzare Question but…who’s got a garage with an up and over door on it? if you have one can you please take a pic of the door mechanism(spring) as we bought a concrete sectional garage which came with the up and over door on it but us being daft never thought at the time to take a pic of it so we don’t know how the door fits back on lol D’OH:doze: Can anyone help?

is that the type where the door runs on strips, wheels at top?

Hopefully you can see a pic of the door and the frame with the spring

All looks a bit familiar, but…

Can you post some wider view pics showing the whole door edge including the top corner and the whole frame showing the head gear.

If there are horizontal running tracks (sort of channel thingies) at door top level include those in the pics.

wot i was saying, must have summat for the dorr to run along at top or it will just fall to ground when up it goes.

will take some pics of my door, look similar.

I’ve taken a couple of shots but not sure if it’s the same as yours. Mine has torsion springs at the top.

yep, pics not great hope they help.

runner at top.

ooh ta muchly they look similar will go look see if thats how it works:D

You done or do I have to keep going round asking folks if I can have a look at their garage door gear?

Irritating thing is that I know that arrangement as we had it on our garage door, then we replaced that with something that could be automated.

(Not that we ever got round to me sticking the power gear on, of course.)
