i had a nice ride to sittingborne yesterday and noticed when i was doing “motorway speeds” the front started to feel shaky and light.
could it just be that it was rather windy yesterday or could there be a problem??

did you make sure you scraped off all of that pedestrian from your front wheel the other day:w00t: could be that:D
haha was lucky he didnt hit the bike. ive done all the bike can give and never had this shaking before i had an er6 up my butt could of nailed him but didnt feel safe because of it so let him pass and felt upset lol
i need to give the bike a good check over as its been afew months since i gave her some attention just wondering if theres anything i need to look out for?
i get it on my 660 at high speed but adjusted the rear damper & droped the front forks a bit to help but when it happens i just get some weight over the front bars and it goes
yeah i shifted forward on the tank and it helped but it wasn’t there before. it was the windiest Ive ever ridden in so i guess could be that.
i need to get the bike checked over though as Ive got an odd burning smell coming from the front and need my calipers rebuilt in the front and as Ive got a week off guess Ive got some work to do and not much knowledge :D:P;)
there was a thread not long ago that will help:)
your a bad man dude :hehe::hehe::hehe::hehe::hehe:
ah ha nice one ill have a look at my rear shock then i only weigh 12 stone so could be that
lol my bike shakes itself apart over 50 , but its always done that
its an SV… they do that…
if it really bothers you…
A- get a steering damper
B- get the suspensioned adjusted, it will help a bit.
C- dont power on at high speed over bumps/rough surfaces, or into headwinds:D
dang bud you should have said it was a sv… stop running it on red diesel and it will run better:D
ahhh was wondering why the fuel pump was black thought it was a fashion thing:cool:
problem should clear at about 140
hope that helps ya
Keeping the front in the air longer tends to help
Well it’s to be expected if you ride with no hands at motorway speed.
