Mirrors look the way to go, but no ideas how to get’em cheap. Import from States as ‘gift’ to avoid tax?

i can get the mirrors from the manafacturer £200 plus shipping, but if i can find summin else i like ill go that route its just most look poop, i just wanna see if someone else has seen summin i havent you get me??

Flatout, if you want the best indicators you can get, look no further than Watsen Design. I’ve had a few pairs on my bikes in the past and the quality cannot be beaten, they are INCREDIBLE! They fit flush, properly flush, so flush that you wonder why the bike doesn’t come with them from the factory.

Here’s them on my previous bike:

cheers Jay i havent seen them before this maybe my solution although i would like em in yellow

He’ll do most colours I believe, just ask. Mine were colour matched for me.

i see on the order form they have them in the 50th anniversery yellow, i think i will order some from the pics they look very visible and not sticky out

cheers

Those little pod side lights (up in the corners next to the headlights) can easily be converted to indicators, with LED bulbs instead of normal bulbs. That can look quite good. Dont get much more flush fitting than that now.

BTW, am I the only one who totally hates those mirrors with the indicators in, like on the K5 thou? I think they just look ****e on a sportsbike… much more suited to BMW’s, flat caps, slippers ‘n’ pipe brigade.

I dont want to put my indicators where my side lights are i think that looks pony too and once i put my xenon kit on there (if theres enough room behind the screen for the ballasts) you wont see em flashing i sort of agree with the mirror thing though and at 200 notes if i fall off or some wnker rips em off its more money ------ anyways i just orderd what Jay showed me i think they look good and thats what i want thanks though all input greatly received

TonUpKid, perhaps I’m biased, but I have grown to really like the indicators in the mirrors. They’re much more visible to other people, which is kinda important when you’re about to go across the path of someone or the like, and they keep the body uncluttered. Though it’s a matter of taste obviously.

Im with Jay on this one, the mirrors look very good. When buying the Stealth i wasnt happy with indicaters in the mirror, but i think it cleans the whole look of the bike and they are well bright

Watsen indicators i think are the best!!

Have to agree, those blinkers in the pics above do look very very sleek.

Indicators in mirrors though? Eugh! Please no, not on a sportsbike… they look too captain sensible. But hey, as you say, each to his own.

I’ve gotta agree with Jay and Neil…The Watsen units are by FAR the nicest, highest quality after market front indicators that I have seen.

Captain Sensible you say?

Doesn’t look very sensible to me…

So with these indicators - do they cover the hole left from the standard ones? If so I may be tempted for the Trumpet.

Andrew, they sit right in the hole that the old indicator stalks went in, so no
holes, just a nice flush fit.

Exactly…custom billeted aluminum…custom matched paint.

I actually made a step by step walkthrough with pictures when I installed mine…Jay had it here on this site at one point.

Late edit…here is the link for the “how to” write up…

Cool, well they are going on the list (the evergrowing list) of mods for the Trumpet. and mebbe the 7r.

As an aside…

Your bike looks FANTASTIC, Neil…just wicked killer. Love that black…and the rims…great looking rig!

You guys have gotta get over here and go blasting about in the Flint Hills with me. Miles and miles of wide open roads and little (if any) law enforcement.
