Very late night run, but great fun doing the tunnel on the M25 - never done that before.
Stunning time - even the part where the entire nation of France threw buckets of water over us for 30 mins - I think my jacket is still wet.
Bike is stinking, going to have to get scrubbing I think… washing machine on, and coffee brewed.
The ride outs where amazing, easily the best time I’ve had on a bike. It was so much fun rolling into a little village - all 22 of us - with all the kids waving and smiling - don’t think we’d get that in the UK - couldn’t belive how nice all the French drivers where - I felt really guilty as they all drove in the ditch!
Sundays ride was simply the best - that coastal road was amazing and the german bunker quite spooky! Riding down to the Somme was a little strange but the village was nice… shame we couldn’t stop longer I think I could have sat there in the sun all day - had it not then decided to rain!
Had a wonderful time guys - can’t wait to do it again!
never loose your passport i just phoned the passport office and i have to wait until friday till i get the form lso1 to fill in then i have to send it off and thats when they cancel my passport, if i want a replacement i have to fill out a whole new passport application with two new photos and get if signed on the back of one of the photos and send them the lso1 form or i can wait still send them a lso1 form and when i apply form a new one in say about 2 months time have to send them another lso1 form,
it b*****ks
theres a new passport coming out in october 6th that scans the retina and takes the mesaurements of your face etc, thats gonna cost £62.50, or i can just get another machine readable passort and pay £51.00 so i might just wait another month and get the new ones that come out at least if i lose that no fu****s can use the passport,
What a top weekend! Really nice to spend time riding with you all, and getting to know you better. Apologies for losing my rag on the odd occasion, and thanks for taking it in such good grace.
Sunday’s ride was absolutely awesome, so huge thanks to Charlie for leading that one. Thanks too to everyone who led and swept.
And what a welcoming country France is. Where in England could you park up 20 bikes outside someone’s house, and they come out and offer you all a coffee rather than an earful?
Can’t wait to do it again, lads and lasses - what a bloody lovely bunch of people you all are
Damn straight - having to hand over your passport before fuelling. Gave me a chance to rattle out all of my saved up French swear words. Amazing what comes back to you in the heat of the moment.
Thinking about it, that was essentially a freight stop, so it kind of makes sense when you consider the amount of fuel you can get in a truck. You would have thought they would make an exception for bikes though.
Agreed…even though weather was not perfect i think we were very lucky and for all sunday was the best of the three days…hence why u may see a lack of pics as we were all 2 busy tearing up the countryside!
