Frikin scum

Just been to check on the bikes and some frinkin scumbag has had a go at getting in there. Looks like they made a half arsed attempt to lever open the lock on the doors. It has buggered the lock and bent it out shape but it held them off… frikin scum. Guess I’m pretty lucky. Still don’t like the fact someone has been sniffing round, they could be back again for another go… time for a bit more security me thinks

Got a spare lock but can’t find the keys… godamit!

Spend the night in the garage…

With a gun…

A .45 caliber slug to the knee cap should be enough to discourage them (or any of their friends) from coming around again.

Thieves should be shot dead on sight.

Ah yes, did think to myself… need a pitbull to lock in here. Be a nice surprise for them! Did think of going for a ride tonight but the weather is too manky.

Security wise, it is in an unlite area so had though about a flood light… but this probably happened during the daytime while everyone was at work.

Saw CCTV cameras in Homebase, but the picture quality would be rubbish I guess and they record to VCR, which I think would need a tape every 8hrs.

They also have the cheap alarms you can stick inside, but its a bit late if they are already broken in. What you want is something like a bike alarm that bleeps and gives a warning if you so much as touch the doors.

What about a second or third lock, makes it more awkward for the scrots and as they have the attention span of a goldfish they might get bored.
I know this doesn’t help tonight but if you can stop them getting easily then there is no need for CCTV and Alarms although if your garage is near enough what about a baby monitor that way you can hear what is going on in there.

its that rough area of hampton yuou live in!!!

if it comes to it i might have some space in my garage?

lucky escape mate - but keep your eyes open, now they’ve tried once they may come back more tooled up - I like the idea of putting more than one lock on there, and even a dummy CCTV camera may deter them a little - I used to have a proper CCTV camera that would hook up to the TV and record but I never actually had it on - but I think it helped… also a floodlight can’t hurt and they are sooo cheap at the moment.

‘Foxtrot Oscar’ BIG LOCKS…

CCTV is only any good if someone is there watching it. Nothing as upsetting as watching your P&J being wheeled off by scrotes with hoodies on…

Quadruple the locks, lots of different ones; you can be sure they will back with better weapons of entry!

Only make sure you do it with them weraing their trousers.

Classic IRA trick that one.

Knee-capping without trousers…you get over it, you won’t play for Utd, but your knee’ll recover.

Knee-capping whilst wearing trousers…leg’s a goner…something about the sepsis caused by the cloth fibres that get embedded in the wound means it never heals properly…

The things you learn from having Northern Irish friends eh…

Bad luck Nuts! You had the right security though eh, it did the job! Sucks that you have to pay to replace it though.

Perhaps use a baby alarm … then you’ll hear them messing with the door. Obviously, this won’t work if you’re away at work though.

You sound sooooooo much like another Yank I know!

…and Toby…you scare me!!

A little update. Today got back and put bike away. Noticed a blanket over my neighbours car window. Scumbags have smashed it in to nick a 4 pack of larger and his sat nav. He thinks this was last night but didn’t hear anything. Just found it this morning.

I’d fitted a security alarm over the weekend and last night had put stickers up saying ‘warning alarm fitted’ ‘Sold Secure Alarm’ ‘Crimestoppers’ etc. Also spoke to local police today, who had been round to drop off some neighbourhood watch stickers. I had a word with my neighbour and said its probably not going to make much difference but report it anyway. The police had said I was the first person in the area to report an attempted break in… so unfortunately now they’ve got a real crime to follow up. I don’t hold up much hope of them actually catching someone in the act but you never know. If we do nothing the crooks win

too right Nuts, at lwast if you are aware, it makes you more cautious and alert.

My neighbour has had her car stolen on one occasion and quad bikes stolen out of her shed on another occasion.

Now I sleep with back door light on, and my bedroom door open so I can see my bike and hear anything, as its kept in my back garden, lol

Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

Can I plead the fifth!

D’oh!!

Maybe you could look into one of these alarm system that texts you as soon as someone starts tampering with your bike?
