It is the height of the French holiday season and, under a scorching sun, a police team watches for speeding drivers on a highway near Toulouse!!!

French cameras can’t catch UK drivers due to DVLA not cooperating. When foreign drivers take advantage of that, what do you expect them to do?

When I was in France recently I was riding along on a motorway and almost the entire opposite carriage way lit up with motorists flashing their lights at me. So I slowed down from 111 to 110 and sure enough there was a police car waiting up the road. That was pretty cool.

A month ago I got speed ticket near Marseilles doing 117km/h in 110 zone. For 7km/h they awarded me with 45eur fine. Had rental car so they had no problem finding me.
