You know it’s time to have a wardrobe cull when you can no longer close the doors properly! I’ve been hoarding this lot with the stupid idea that, oh, I might wear them again one day. And guess what? I never do.
I don’t want any cash for any of it. However, a donation to LAA or Macmillan would be very much appreciated. The amount is up to you and there’s no need to tell me how much.
So, here we go:
Triumph textile jacket size xxs (about an 8) that has been worn on the bike literally once. Lined, armoured etc. REHOMED.
Lewis Ladies textile jacket, size xs (about an 8). Worn quite a bit off the bike as my surveying jacket as it’s really warm and weatherproof. Still has the Knox armouring. Erm, somewhere… REHOMED
(Frey) Daytona boots, size 4. I bought these off of Ebay and I’ve never worn them. They’re a bit battered looking, but the soles have minimal wear, the leather’s in good condition and the zips work fine. REHOMED.
The clearout continues with more items added! These are also in need of a new home:
Dainese ‘Monza’ trews size 40 (UK 6-8). They were originally part of a two-piece suit until some scroat stole the jacket and they will (or should!) zip into any other Dainese top. They’re still in pretty good nick with only a few minor scuffs.
Alpinestars SMX4 Goretex boots size 38 (UK 5). The front right hand clip for the toe slider is partially broken which means that the slider doesn’t sit as flat to the boot as what it should. It’s never been an issue and it is still firmly attached. I had the velcro replaced a while back and I haven’t worn them since:
I may take one for my Daughter, she very rarely goes on the bike but when she does she wears a medium mens jacket which swamps her so it’s not completely safe.
I do a lot of Charity work for Cancer Research (i’m manning the phones up the BT Tower next month for the Stand Up To Cancer Telephon) so thats a very honourably gesture your putting out there
Out of the three jackets, the Held one is the smallest and most fitted. As a guide, I’m 5’5’’ and about an 8 and the Held jacket fits me really well with just enough room for a fleece underneath.
Great . I hope she likes it and it fits her ok. As for picking it up, I can PM you my address in UB5 if you want to venture in to the outer echelons of West London or I can meet you @ The Ace at some point.
I was thinking about it. Baring weather events or some sort of crisis (always possible), I should be there to see another LB leave the fold :crying:. I take it that wasn’t just a random question as to my social life and that you were suggesting that you could pick up the jacket from me then ?
I’m in UB5 (Ill PM you the address if and when you need it), I’m only a few minutes away from The Ace if you want to meet there or, as an employee of LB Hillingdon who spends most of their time out on site, I can meet you pretty much anywhere within the Borough - although you might have to bear with me while I do a couple of quick inspections
