I seen this awhile ago and it is pretty cool.
When he kicks it and it moves to the side, the fact that it was able to keep itself upright, is incredible. The engineering and software and processing required for it to do that is amazing.
def cool!!
Incredible technology.
I know exactly what you a mean when you say it ‘creeps you out’ - It feels like watching a Terminator movie in which one of the human rebels plays an archive movie to explain how skynet and the terminators got going. :unsure:
What I find really creepy is the way it’s movements are so like an animal.
Personally I find it unsettling - although I admire the expertise and technology that goes into it.
Nah that’s definitely freaky, nasty spindly little legs and what sounds like a very noisy hedge-trimmer whirring away inside there. Apparently this is designed to carry soldiers equipment around, but making that racket, the Taleban etc would have no problem finding it, catching up and stealing whatever goodies it was carrying.Now THIS is cool. Saw one being used on Tottenham Court Road a few years ago, up on two wheels, I couldn’t help just stopping and staring at it, waiting for it to fall over (which it didn’t).
It climbs kerbs no problem at all, it can even climb up stairs Just a shame they stopped making it last year.
:laugh: very good
Fantastic!
One day people will recognise the real heroes amongst us are the engineers and scientists . . .
It’s both.
Freaky because it loks and sounds like a big fly, but cool for the aforementioned reasons.
Bear in mind that the vid is dated 2008, no doubt a lot has happened in development of this tech since then.
