FREAKING FUDGE DAMNIT. First breakdown ;[

Damnit.

Was finding it hard to get my bike into neutral, seemed to require a little more force than usual to click up from first into neutral.

Then i realised the clutch lever wasn’t returning to it’s normal position properly. After pulling it in and out for a bit, the cable snapped (I believe) and not the lever does nothing.

I can’t afford to fix it and wouldn’t know how! Seems I’m bikeless until the new year. Great :frowning:

How am I going to get anything done tomorrow?! So depressed ;[

On the upside, it happened when i was testing outside my house to see what was wrong with neutral…thank got I wasn’t 20 miles away from home or something!

Sadness :frowning:

its just a cable follow it to its home take it off and wack a new one on

simples

i would get a manual first

Shouldn’t be a hard job, or one requiring special tools - just a new cable. Plenty of help here -

Thanks lads. Got a new cable in the post off eBay.

I’ll look into doing it myself, otherwise I’ll ask a car mechanic on my road if he will. He doesn’t work on bikes really, but I’m sure to a mechanic it will be failry simple, even if he isn’t used to bikes.

Post where you live, and maybe someone near you knows how to do it, and wouldn’t mind showing you how.

People have offered to help me with maintenance in the past, i have to learn how to look after my bike, and would love to know all the harder bits:D

I live near to Alexandra Palace. Thats near both Muswell Hill and Wood Green.

By the time the cable gets here, I will be away for a bit, next oppourtunity would be after xmas, but I imagine people won’t want to be coming out at that time  Maybe someone has a free hour after xmas, before NYE?

sorry to hear dude…hope you will sort it out soon.

Thanks Ottomanslap.

I’ve stopped stressing about it now… At least I know it’s fixable and I can afford it. I’m just glad it wasn’t the gearbox, because I imagine that wouldn’t be a cheap fix.
