frank thomas strike titanium 1-piece leathers

i posted this on vd a little while ago, but i’d be interested in your thoughts here too

looking through the demon tweeks catalogue, noticed this ft 1 piece for £350, fetching ‘all-black’ design with elbow and shoulder CE protection. i was just wondering if they are any good? for the money, and even with spending out on a tidy back protector, it looks like you end up with a good thing… you think?

They are really good and that price is amazing! This suit was o of the best one you could get years ago! Go for it mate!

Sounds like a pukka deal to me, snap it up

Looks good and does the job, and as Cezar said, FT was some of the best stuff you could get!!

interesting. i hear that ron haslams race school dishes these out to their pilots there… but current reviews at vd are 3-1 against. hmmn.

i think that it looks like a good deal, especially when you can buy a quality back protector on top of these and it still comes out cheaper than loads of other manufacturers.

thanks guys

This is a really good effort from FT. Every major seam on the suit is quad stitched, if you look at the top end brands generally as a rule you will mainly find triple stitched seams. We got one in the shop to look at, and even the fit has been improved ie it fits Not bad at all for £350!

Having had other kit from FT and had nothing but issues as have many of my friends I will not easily be convinced that FT are worth my money.

10 years ago FT had some serious issues with the stitching on all their products. Heard it was at least 50% returns, which is really bad.

Can’t comment on their quality now as won’t touch for above reasons.

Not sure if you would be able to fart in them witout standing on your pegs though…

I think you have a problem with your leathers, Flatout These FT ones look nice, but I can’t help but see them as the budget brand, and I don’t think you should skimp when it comes to saftey items.

comment was meant for puppy jay, i have no problem farting in mine seated or otherwise…

ooOOooo! quad stitched eh?
