Anyone know how its checked/changed on my bike?

If your bikes 4+ years old the oil could prob do with a change. Best way would be to remove the fork leg. Set any preload adjustment to 0, remove top cap and tip the oil out. Giving the fork a few compressions to work out the oil as you go.
Remember to measure how far from the top of the stantion the oil level is, as you’ll need to fill it back up to that level.
Beware, fork oil is stinky nasty stuff when its old.
Blimey, that sounds easy. In truth, a bit too easy to be true.
Most worthwhile fork manufacturers have built a drain off arrangement to avoid removing the forks/legs. I’d check the manual before starting to see if yours have a drain.
The original question. Yes, it should be done, and a rough rule of thumb is 2 years/30,000 miles, whichever comes 1st. Oh, and refill volume and oil weight (specification) is quite important.
Cool thanks! Sounds like mine needs changing then
It’s a pretty straight forward job as you’re not stripping them just removing the top/bottom to remove the oil. But as mentioned worth checking the workshop manual for correct oil weight and which order to start undoing nuts
Don’t forget the candles
it takes an age for the oil to drain !!!
