First ride into city .... :)

started a new job 2 weeks ago and am now based in Piccadilly - was missing my bike so thought I would try and ride in today. wow - it was so easy and so little traffic on the raod compared to a few years ago though i reserve judgement till hometime.
Though i did find it funny having to queue behind loads of bikes in a singe file at the lights!

considdering I had a nice ride to Kew Bridge before this isn’t bad and way better then the tube - lol

Glad you had a nice experience on your bike. I commute everyday in London for around 7 years now. I have to say, and some of you will want to kill me for that but the congestion charge has been great for the bikes so far. It’s much easier now than before, just imagine if they stop the charges tomorrow? For us nothing chenge on a bike but for the cage drivers? It would double in numbers and we would become even more vulnerable. It’s just my opinion

The ride home shouldn’t be that bad @ 9ish (thats what time it will be when you’ve been to Cubana’s tonight!!)

theboy, nice one, though I hope you have secure parking for your bike. I don’t know what bike you’ve got, but bike theft is a huge problem right now in central London. Please chain it up to something solid! The ride home is always a bit busier, but as Sean says, come to Cubana first

I too had a hassle free ride in to work this morning, all because its school holidays. Oh happy days. Trip to Cubana tonight and late buzz home, should be less traffic by then.

Great to see it Theboy but just to burst your bubble, it’s half term!!! Wait for the madness that will be Monday. That said, it makes it even more fun, ENJOY.

Great and have a good ride home, I think this week is half term though and it can really affect your journey. The traffic hasn’t been half as bad as normal during rush hour.

Well done Trisckie, I always get in very late , increasingly need beauty sleep.

I was on the A40 at about 9.50am this morning! I don’t start seeing more bikes until nearer the city though…

I’ve not been out today, although after a quick uphill whizz on the peddler, I’ll be out to Cubana.
