Well further to my post the other day about getting a ZX6R I haven’t had a chance to ride it much - most of last weekend was spent stripping and rebuilding the carbs,the took it as far as Essential Rubber on Tuesday to get the MOT done. To be honest didn’t notice much of a performance change from the bandit…
Had a couple of hours spare today so took it for a quick blast along some Essex lanes… started to really open the throttle and F__K ME it don’t half go !!! :w00t: It just kept pulling and pulling through the gears ! Cornering felt much better too, probably cos it’s lighter with a lower centre of gravity. Quite a big turning curve though when it comes to turning in the road.
All in all not as comfy on the backside and wrists as the Bandit but it more than makes up for it in performance - just like Pepperami - it’s a bit of an animal !
It’s a fair point though, the turning circle of most sports bikes is generally pretty crap, but then that’s not why we buy them now is it, it’s for their frugal economy obviously…
Been in central London this evening, can’t believe how easy this bike is to throw around, it’s so nimble !
Gotta watch the speed though in town, I’m not used to how quickly it accelerates !

When I first rode Joolsy’s ZX6 (I have a ZX9) I was a bit underwhelmed because I didn’t get the chance to cane it.Next time I had a go, I explored the revs above 10k and loved it !
Only problem with it for me is it’s a lot more wristy than my 9 - it’s a bit shorter and I’m a big lad.
Only just saw this post - the ZX6R’s are amazing. Even if you find yourself stuck squeezing through traffic you can just chuck them around all the traffic so easily and then on empty roads they’re simply orgasmic :w00t:
