:w00t: bloody hell, that’s a bit vicious. well i’ve decided to try out limping, the ruder they are they slower my limping is going to be. plus who would want fight a cripple?!

Uuuummmm ME! At least I’d win :P:D
I had never previously considered moving my bike to let someone else in. Like others, I had always thought the pump wouldn’t work until I’d paid for my fuel. My biggest fear is that they’d think I was making off.
Really? I was with my mum filling the car up a few years ago, when a car pulls up next to us and jumps the queue. Turns out to be 2 police guys wanting to use the pumps. After we finished they told us to move forward so they could use it. I go in the shop to pay and was met by some angry guy behind the counter who wouldnt accept the money threatened to call the police etc. When I asked what we should have done he said " ignore them and left your car there." Utter twat.

what if the are two guys in the big truck and one of the is reversing his van into you to get to the pump, what would you do then?
i think you should smile and ring me:D Mate i would go mental, what bastards!
As has been said many times in this thread, pumps remember at least three loads of fuel so if you display the basic courtesy of moving the bike you are allowing someone else to fill up, and if you don’t you have just invited another cage to think bikers are vermin who should be driven from the roads.
As for being accused of leaving without paying. What do people do when they use the coffee shops in petrol stations thesecdays? They expect car drivers to move to parking spaces to free up pumps. Why not bikes? Certainly no offence would be committed until you left the premises with your vehicle. I always move my bike and car and it has never been a problem.
+1also look for pay at pump if you can, quick and easy ![]()

Clearly!
You should have let him call the police and report you for moving on the instruction of a police officer. Sounds like wasting police time to me.

sometimes all you need to do it give them a look, i came off the A40 the other week to the A406 and on the slip road there was a shuvel in the lane so i out on my hazard slowed down and stopped to move it out the middle of the road, as i did this some idiot BEEPED me really loud, so i slowly turned around and looked at him, he was already saying sorry calling himself a idiot, “im really sorry mate, im such a idiot i didn’t think” its amazing how a attitude can change when you realise a biker is 6ft 4 ins and carrying a shuvel!!!
Maybe you sould carry one round!

+1 All ways move it.
When I’m in the car I have to wait, when on the bike I have to wait so why should I move my bike/car until I’m ready
Just push your bike forward a bit if there is space
