twin engined bikes have phenomonal engine breaking… dont follow them into a bend without expecting them to almost stop in front of ya without seeing any brake lights!chances are, youll run out of space and end up on wrong side of road…
Also, dont target fix on the bike in front of you whilst riding into bends…
if they have bigger balls, less brains or are a better rider than you, theyll go round the bend, and you will crap yourself and hit the brakes (as bluestar found out following me! :w00t:
and no matter what people say about leaning the bike further and further and not touching the brakes, “have faith the bike will get you round”
sometimes it doesnt
“burnham bends”
left hand bend, cars coming other way, leant over, bend got tighter, leant even further, and i either ran out of tyre, or hit something, but the bike started going down, only i managed to flick the bars and save it, but my boot actually hit the ground!
your brain will give up way way before teh bike does, on modern warm tyres you can almost lay a bike on its side, if you rbreaking ain a corner leaning the bike becomes harder because teh bike wants sldie out from under you or sit up.
Thinking about Saturday and how you were checking out my ass instead of the bend in front!!!.. it did laugh when i saw you break suddenly behind me…:D:D:D
To be honest, i was so far over if id pulled my foot back on the peg, and stuck my knee out, i prob would have done it, but i wasnt trying to, was just going round the bend, leant over, cars coming other way, bike shakes, unavoidable drops further and my foot hit the ground
no chance, you can ride behind me next time though, guy on another sv on sat did just that, and he ended up on wrong side of road hope he wasnt watching my ass!
lanes did feel odd after being on track, my bottle and confidence wasnt really there sunday, wastxtPost_CommentEmoticon(‘:D’); quite slow really, i didnt even do the B1057 know that is strange, its KD heaven!!
glad you stayed upright…least you managed to stay on track, i had to bail off down a side road at one point!
things I learnt this weekend - bikes are feckin amazing (ok, we already knew this), bikes are feckin amazing when out with other bikers (ok, we already knew this too). was great fun, still smiling.
