I heard from a friend of mine that he once got on a bike and had to buy it there and then,
I have had the same thing happen to me and the bike in question is the Honda CBF.
I love how it looks and how easy it rides.
As soon as I rode the bike it felt right. the seating position (being tall) was perfect, the power (for a new rider like me) was ideal to pull my weight around.
Now, I need some help from you guys, no, not to get over it, BUT recomendations
where I can either px (my scooter) or just buy - a used one.
finally would you recommend riding anything else? (the sportsbike arent my thing…) or just follow the heart?
Thanks,
Personally i would follow your heart, ive always been the same, i see a bike i fall in love, and then comes the blin pimp it up stages hehe. We dont all ride sportsbikes, im the same i prefer to have something still capable, fast but comfy for trips too.
Well either advertise your scooter on gumtree, im sure you will sell it very easily, or try a dealers.
The cbf is a nice bike, they pull well from lowdown and are comfy for trips too, maybe look at getting a used one, as its your first bike, you can always upgrade later on.
Cheers WF
I am not quite sure if i will sell the scooter (As gfriend might want to keep it).
been looking around for CBFs for a day or two. any recomendations to which dealers to look at?
saw one at metropolis (Vauxhall) but hearing bad things about them.
also chiswick honda?
i am just looking at their website !
they have a couple of choices…
or just check out other places on the net, i wouldnt recommend Motoden either.
yep a mate of mine just bought a bike from them and was not happy with the sales or aftersales.
i bought my fazer from then, second bike too and i fell out with them over certain safety and customer service issues.
I work for George whites www.georgewhite.co.uk if we have a used one you like the look of come and see me to arrange a deal!! (i work in the london store!)
Follow your heart. I had been riding a FJ1200 for over a year and wanted a change. Tried a GS450, felt like a bicycle - horrible. Then tried a NTV600, soulless and utterly awful, like a plank of wood. Then tried a VFR750, bought it on the turn as it ticked all the boxes and I enjoyed being on it. Really nice indeed.
If you like the bike and it suits your style of riding, then go for it.
