Feckin low life petrol theft!

Not such a good day today!

Remembered that i forgot to pay my congestion charge that was £10 and will now be a £50 penalty. Nice…
So I finish work, had a hard day as we have a show that Im designing for.

Fill up at the Texaco in Vauxhall and wait to pay for my petrol.
Come back to my bike and some low life scum has take my new Alpine Star GP Pro gloves! (£139)…

Can’t feckin’ believe it there were only 3 people in front of me I could not have been more than 4 or so minutes. The shiter was there was an artic lorry parked across the middle of the station and all the other pumps were full so could not see the bike whilst waiting.

I went back home thinking I would let it pass. I couldn’t just leave it so got home put on my winter gloves and headed back to the petrol station. I thought at least I could see the cctv camera of who took it. if it was a car driver surely they would have been clocked…

Got there no joy, no manager. I’ll report it and see if i have any joy tomorrow when they manager is back.

SO, DO NOT LEAVE YOUR GLOVES ON YOUR BIKE WHEN YOU FILL UP!!

Fcuking London! I really hate it sometimes!

ok Im going to have a hard drink!

That’s awful. I always leave my gloves on my bike – not any more - but it’s blooding difficult faffing around with gloves when you pay, particularly if they have a no helmet policy!

Sorry mate - real sh1tter! Unfortunately the tea leafs hang around garages for these types of opportunity - stuff your gloves in your lid next time and take it in with you, and makes sure you’ve got your keys with you as well!

Yeah I have to take the key with me to open the tank. I usually do put the gloves in the helmet.
B@STARDS!!

Sorry to hear that fella.

I never leave anything on the bike when going in to pay, gloves in the helmet everytime.

that sucks mate, unfortunately there are scum just around the corner,i never leave anything on my bike i dont trust nobody especialy in london…

bastards!!

however I do not think the manager will let you to watch the cctv, unless you report it to the police.

EM

That’s poo - what kind of person would nick a pair of gloves?

I hope you get somewhere with the CCTV, fella.

I’d like to say I was surprised, but I wasn’t. there are scroates everywhere

Never leave me gloves on the bike…i stuff em in me jacket;)

If I leave me gloves on the trike, I leave the satnav on too to distract 'em.

No offence but that’s just askin for it… christ just cos you’re a nice guy doesn’t mean all the knobs have stopped hanging round bein’ pikey gits…
Never leave anything lying around less you got more money than sense!

Sorry if that sounds harsh under the circumstances.

Enjoy your drink after a day like that you deserve it. Hope the rotten git that nicked your gloves looses his wallet.

Cheers peeps!
Its just fecking low! its getting cold and I was at the petrol station> what if i was filling up to ride to Wales or something?
CNT!

What goes around comes around - just desserts are on the way for them.

Once had a pair of leather gloves (just ordinary ones, not biking) nicked when taking them off to sign a cheque in a shop. It won’t happen again, just as you won’t leave yours again. Thanks for reminding us all about the scumbags, & hope the hard drink was good.

Where did this happen? I do hope you report it to the police. Whilst it is unlikely that anything will happen, it will at least show what crimes are happening where…

Really sorry to hear about this. I always left my gloves on my bike, but won’t be doing that any more after reading your post. Thanks for the warning.

Don’t just take your gloves, keys, whatever with you.

Lock the bloody headset.

I’m probably the only person who’s read their insurance policy before they needed to make a claim. (Boy I must have been bored f*rtless that day.)

I can’t make any sort of claim for a theft loss from the bike if the headset isn’t locked.

O.K. It’s all a pain in the *rse, but that’s insurance for you.

Only last week I was tempted to leave my gloves on the bike in Southwark and having read your post I’m glad I thought nah… this city is full of thieving b$%tards… so I took them with me.

Get the CCTV yourself, use the Data Protection act if need be. You can report it to the police but I’d suspect that it would be urrr filtered out.

Well almost everyone here is cussing the thief. And RIGHTLY so, but…

Don’t you think you were a teeny weeny bit stupid leaving your gloves on the bike in the first place???:D:D

I would still have the bastards hands off for the theft
