FAO BabyJ - Autocom half price sale???

ONLY 3 KITS LEFT IN STOCK!!!

No pressure or anything…thats Kit 6’s by the way…plenty of the others

You bloody better keep one for me to pick up on Saturday! Kit 6 Duo (bike powered but also portable, VOX, rider & pillion). £140 less, say minimum 10% discount for bringing you all these customers…

Went to the NEC today and Autocom have a stand. I explained what the Holborn store had told me, i.e., I can’t fit in in my helmet without removing some of the polystyrene. So, they told me it probably would work if I had it the right way, i.e., horizontal on the ear, nor vertical, as shown at Holborn!

Now I just need to think how to fix the velcro backing on my helmet, which doesn’t have the soft lining there. Hmm, buy velcro counterpart strips and glue them on my helmets…

Sorry. Only just seen this subject.

The boom mic (with fussy wind noise blocking cover) works with open face helmets and Autocom do a special lead with a breakout box to you can use your own in ear headphones.

The lead replaces the lead which connects the unit to your lid. Check out their website and spares section. Therefore you don’t have to fit in helmet speakers…

Hi try this link as its the dogs danglies :slight_smile:http://www.autocomamerica.com/docs/systemConfigurator.cfm

I got the rider & pillion kit at the show (and so did 4 of my mates, so that should be fun!). Anyways, I spent a fair bit of time on the stand trying to understand which unit is best for me. You only need the top spec unit (pro) if you play a lot of music or you want to move from the bike.

The 2nd unit (Active) does not support powering a 2 way radio and does not mute the music if the phone is active. It also has 1 less jack socket, which is not a big thing as you can get a splitter. I tend not to listen to music while riding as I need all the concentartion I can get But if you can, use your phone as an MP3 player and then the music/phone will interact.

The kit I got was £105, which was the “Active 7” unit, rider & pillion headsets, and a couple of connecting cables. The bike is going in for a service over the weekend and the guy I use is going to fit the system to the bike.

I’m looking forward to my trips to Europe and the Cotswolds etc with my mates when we can actually tell somebody “I said LEFT you plonker” as we go down the road

At half price, a great investment. Rumor has it that the new kit for next year will have bluetooth capability, but I don’t know if that’s true…
