Failed my part2 just now!!! :-(

hey guys,

i just failed my part 2 today…so annoyed, cos i just got 1 minor for signalling too early once…
but got a blasted MAJOR!!..

my luck has it, that my instructor had hay fever today, so he kept getting me to pull up in safe areas so he could blow his nose every now and again…must’ve done it at least 6+ times…and anyway, forgot to keep a good distance between me and a parked car when i parked up one time, and so when i pulled out i was too close to the car and had to turn whilst controlling the throttle…over did it and went just over to the other side of the road…was a damn country road so i hardly had much room to work with anyway…can’t make excuse tho…i was controlling the damn thing!

well just thought i’d share my frustration cos im peeved…£90 re-take fee, and wait 3 more weeks to ride my SV, (if i even pass that is)!..lol.

thats horrible mate - dont give up on it though! you sure its £90 re-take :w00t: thought Mod 2 was £70??? what test centre was it???

Unlucky - hope you nail it next time

hey…

the test centre was in Kettering…i assume that the extra £20 probably go’s to my instructor and bike that i get to use…

is there anyway of sitting a bike test without going through an instructor/riding school.?..i doubt DSA would give out bikes for people to test on though, lol!

I just book mine and direct and turn up with my own bike, but then again, I’m on a 125 - if you’re on a big bike you’d need a friend to ride it down there (and pick you up if you don’t pass).

What Stevie said but adding that you’ll need to get the bike insured as well.

To be honest, £20 for the convenience of the school providing the bike and riding a machine you’re familiar with is quite a bargain.

Best of luck for next time - let us know how you get on (I’ve got my mod 1 at end of July :w00t: )!

cheers mate…

yeh not such a bad deal i guess…its just repeated failures are irritating, confidence/wallet bruising, and just darned frustrating…

well i guess u learn from every little (&expensive) thing

good luck with your part 1 mate…

dont give up, keep at it

Hey fellow n00b.

£90 for a retest is cheap. cost me £160 - including doing the last day of DAS again. But doubt it would have been much cheaper if i just did the test…

I saw an sv today with twin exhausts. Sounded good!

Chin up!

DO IT DON’T GIVE UP!

That’ll be the SV1000, just ask Ratty what they’re like.

Bad luck at the failure mate, but keep at it.

Oh and Welcome to the site!

keep at it mate

thanks guys…

ive rebooked for 3 weeks today…hopefully my examiner wont have damn hayfever this time and keep pulling me up!

Im just gona keep saving £90 between retakes until I nail this sucker…can’t have my SV sitting their idle - giving up aint an option!..

oh and just thought i’d attach a pic of my SV!

and looks way better in real life if i may add:P

could you not get let of on a technicality. his eyes were streaming and itching to much to see your mistake:hehe::hehe:

haha…I wish!

Shoulda tried it at least eh?..never been scewed over by hayfever…til now!!

:hehe: its gotta be worth a try:D

You can appeal - but you don’t get passed, you just get a free retest!

well if you dont ask you dont get eh:D

haha…
sadly i think that ship has sailed my friends!:stuck_out_tongue:

the title of this thread is no longer accurate…cos i just passed!!

WOOOO!..now a fully licenced biker for life, and wot a great feeling it is!.:D.

(sadly what isn’t such a great feeling is that my bike that i purchased a few weeks ago that has been left out in the rain wont start!!..grr!!!..mayb a spark plug has been wettened, but i haven’t the foggiest clue how to sort it out?..and the local garage is too far to wheel it to…mayb i should sign up for some breakdown cover and ring 'em up in few days)!..
