I deleted my face book account last week as I find it to invasive.
I only joined a few days ago.
Surely it’s only as invasive as you allow it to be?
What worries me more is the lack of security. I logged in last week to find I couldn’t access my own profile but had complete access to someone else’s, including all their settings and PMs.
Just makes me wonder who could access mine.
That was the day they took it offline - there was a bug ![]()
Quite a big bug! People’s profiles disappeared and all sorts.
That be Bertie Basset! ![]()
don’t use your real info…JUST your name.
DOn’t post email addresses, web pages, school info or anything similar.
Use a personal generic email address that doesn’t relate to your work.
Then anyone who wants to find you has your name, your photo and a generic email address…genuine hackers can get that without Facebook…so there isn’t really anything there to give away anything they can’t already get…
Then, use it without fear and paranoia that the Daily Mail like to foster…
Too much stress in the world really!
I am pretty sure hackers have better things to find out that my hotmail address and where I went to school. I think its a great site, have been in contact with people I havent seen for 10 years.
haha… imagine the mischeaf a hacker will make with your school grades!
