i am with you on this one, and your headline says it all

Wow…just…WOW.

I thought “throw their own mothers under the bus” type greedy insurance companies were a uniquely American plague.

I guess I was wrong.

That is just INFURIATING.

Insurance companies aren’t there to help people, when you look at the non-human entity as a whole.

They are there to make money.

But this is where human compassion has been surpassed by a desire to hang onto money that is rightfully that of the injured squaddie. Name the scrote who made this decision and nail him to the nearest lamp post.

They did summit similar to my dad after his motorbike accident… It makes me feel sick and after i told my dad he felt just as bad…

If he was due to get the payout because he can no longer walk unaided, then he’s not entitled to that part of the payout, as he clearly can. Of course, if he can’t for anything longer than the distance he did in the clip, then he should be compensated. The reason he is disabled should be irrelevant.

Yes, I’m not a Daily Mail reader.

The guy fights for his country gets hurt and because he did that they don’t want to pay out, they are surely not human.

He was injured by “friendly fire” so I would think the Americans (most likely) should pay him significant damages, not necessarily his insurer.

my other half works in claims for an insurance company. And the way we would see it (i used to work for the company too just not in claims) would be that it’s classed as ‘loss of use of’ rather than can’t walk. He can barely move his feet which means he has technically lost most of his use for his feet.

No doubt they are looking into this because he can still walk so it’s not a total loss of use.

To be honest having worked for insurance i can understand where they are coming from but still don’t agree with it. people who put their lives on the line like that deserve a high payout without question!!!
