expensive mistakes..

Theres some fundamental things you need to do if you own a mechanical vehicle…

one of them is put bloody oil in it!!!

someone dropped this Yamaha XT off to me and said it wouldn’t start…

im not really surprised as the piston has melted!! along with part of the barrel…

ahhh thats what happens when you only have 50mls of oil left…

i called him back and asked if the bike had any problems before it “wouldn’t start”

“yeah” he said… “it was making this horrid whine on the A2 on the way to work, i dropped it down a few gears and thrashed it but it only got worse…”

so for the sake of 4 quids worth of oil its gonna cost the best part of 500 quid…

poor sod!!

heres some pic’s

Ouch :pinch:

I’ve still got a few LC ones that look like that from back in the day (not through lack of oil of course)

Poor Sod?

No, stupid sod!!!

OOOOOOOps

He needs an oyster card not a repair

My misses did that to an old car of hers, drove it round for a few years never checking or servicing it and then the engine blew on the M25.
But what do you expect from a woman. ( * waiting for the barage of comments from the girls on here)*

A bit of wet and dry should sort it:D

He’s lucky the mains didn’t go, then it would have been Game Over:w00t:

looks similar to a piston from a bike i once bought,
after the owner had fitted it the wrong way (ring ends to the exhaust port  )

had a new front tyre fitted toddy essential, alan( i think?) noticed i had low oil, so he topped it up for me, i didnt realise it burned oil a fair bit i had no idea!! i know you should check it but i though it would be ok till next oil change. so used to toppig up two stroke oil tanks every other day!!

how often should i check my oil, my SV is used pretty much daily!

nice snap on set!

ouch! proper mullered!

Cor Adz your finger nails are filthy!:D:P:D

And you’d know all about mullering pistons :stuck_out_tongue:

hahahaha

errr there not really to bad in that pic sam…
