Exhaust leak?

Swapped my standard exhaust out for my aftermarket one this weekend. It always kicked out a bit of water for the first 5 minutes which, as I understand, can be fairly normal and I’m not really bothered about this:

But this time some of the water is being forced out of a crack between the link pipe and down pipes - so I presume air is getting out of here too. It already seems to be a very tight fit so I’m wondering if a clamp will be enough to close the gap…is there a kind of sealant you can use on these joints? Is it even that much of a big deal - performance wise?

Thanks for the advice.

You could use some exhaust sealant from Halfords.

Exhaust sealant is brittle … use silicone sealant, it stays flexible and takes the heat without any problem.

… as long as you get high temp stuff
But yeah, much better than exhaust sealant and easier to disassemble tidily

The normal stuff withstands ridiculously high temps too in my experience.

Gunna go with this stuff.

Thanks for the help
