Exam Season is upon us!

'Tis the season to be utterly utterly depressed. It’s exam season!

So, who in the lovely LB community will be sharing in my pain these coming weeks as they trudge through a myriad of long essays and horrific calculations? GCSEs, AS, A2’s, Uni exams, all are welcome to come in here and share your tails of woe. Escape from it all while you still can.

Grab yourself a cuppa, settle down in a comfy chair and relax. Tell us of what you have to look forward to over the summer. Or, if you’re like me, moan about having to look forward to returning to school for five weeks after my exams to start A2’s. Joy.

I’d much rather be back at uni and having exams than having to face the working life. School/uni days definitely best years for me, work sucks.

Years after doing my last exam I still wake up in a cold sweat imagining there’s an exam this morning and i’ve done sod all revision.

I have never had that dream, though I fear at some point I will.

I did 7 hours of revision on Human Rights today, what a horrible horrible thing it was, and I didn’t even get it finished. I only got about 80% of it done, which means, more tomorrow! Oh the joy!

It will be like this every day now until the 2nd of June, at which point my exams will be over.

2/5 down for me. university life isnt all its made out to be!

One of the (few) joys of being a little older is that exams and Continuing Professional Development are things of the past. I just want to re learn about things mechanical and working with wood again.

Best wishes to all you out there still sliding down the razor blade of the exam season.

ive got five, starting with c1 on Monday, finishing with C2 and phy2 9th june, 12th june i have my motorbike test training  ::smooooth:

Slightly late into work and on public transport so saw a few students. Suprised to see some of them had books, some even had hand-written notes. Exams are great if you can go in thinking ahh haa now I can show them how great I am. Not so good when you go in thinking oh **** now they’ll find out how crap I am… but good luck to all involved.

Exams are long since gone for me - but good luck all you folks who are in the thick of it. Fingers crossed and do your best  Soon enough the days will come when you are faced with ‘Devil Wears Prada’ type bosses and 7.30 am starts:crazy: Good luck!! Enjoy!! And remember it’s not the winning that matters, it’s the being taken apart;)

Hels

“…it’s not the winning that matters, it’s the being taken apart”

I like that, so I think I’ll steal it for the next appropriate occassion.

I finished uni last week  No more exams ever  Love it

A LEVELS :frowning:

It’s such a lovely day today I said myself ‘sod revision’ and popped out for a bit. Beautiful weather, brilliant time for a big BBQ on the common and a bit of a party. Pity everyone will be inside revising their nuts off tonight, me included.

Ah well, the sacrifices we make in order to go and do work we don’t really want to do further on in life, gotta love it :stuck_out_tongue:

I have sat in all day watching this beautiful weather out of the window…so irritating.

+1 cos my hands hurt and i have no strength to ride with the pain :frowning: But just taken some drugs to try and get me thru my work shift! :stuck_out_tongue:

My last exams were in 1976.

I didn’t like to say it…

but my sentiments exactly. :stuck_out_tongue:

I need to stop going out on my bike and bother to do some work only got two exams left but still !

Hang in there guys. There can be a direct relationship between exams and aquiring BHP although the effect isn’t immediately evident.

With respect to revision it only bothers you if you think about it. So try to do it and not think about it. If you want to revise go to the library, there is nothing to do there but work and check out hotties, plus sitting with a load of other people who are studying when it’s blazing sunshine outside is motivating, your not in it alone.
