Everyone, be careful on your way home tonight

3 drops of rain and everyone forgets how to drive. No one seems to be seriously injured…just a lot of damaged bonnets…

did you take em out some tea?

yeah know wot you mean though, it seems like all nice and dry and then when the rain starts you start hearing the sirens etc cos they carry on driving the same way i reckon.

Went out to check if anyone needed help…and they were all playing nice, like proper grown-ups, so I let them be and get on with exchanging their insurance details…

some drivers - new to front wheel drive cars, don’t realise how easy it is to lock up the tyres when they switch from their numpty rear wheel drive cars lol.

Good to hear they’re all safe. I noticed my braking distance was extraordinarily long for what it usually is. Maybe time for new sintered brake pads…well, they’re easier to get than faster reflexes…

I saw a nasty one yesterday evening.

Girl in a black corsa pulled out of a side road. She must have been so enganged in her conversation on her mobile that she missed the green polo driving along the road; she should have given way to. Green polo locks up, smack, much pirouetting of cars, green polo ending up knocking into a lamp post.

Thankfully no injuries. Young family in the polo, all very traumatised, especially the little girl.

I cannot tell you how much I hate it when I see people driving whilst on the phone. The absolute worst is when I see them texting and driving!! I must see at least a dozen people on mobiles every commute.

What?..Front wheel drive cars lock up easier than rear WD?..I just don’t see that being the case.

Seems to me snatching at the brakes in a rwd you just overcome the grip the front tyre has and away you go…Do the same on a FWD and you have to overcome the grip and the engine/trans before locking up…more difficult surely?

Also fwd cars are not a new thing either. They have been the majority of cars on the road for over two decades! The only vehicles your likely to drive now that are RWD are vans and BMWs.
