If next weekend is anything like this one, I’m proposing to go for an evening bimble from Box to Brighton (or somewhere else seasidey if anyone has any suggestions).
I went for a ride to Brighton last night, leaving SE London at 8pm. Temperature was just right, the bugs were all going to bed, no sunlight in my eyes, and it was generally just a fab ride.
Jackie is a way in Sweden next weekend - but I might be up for an evening ride to Brighton (where have just got back from) or somewhere similar on Friday or Saturday if the weather is good. Next weekend is a new moon so the sky will be dark, but it will be perfect for viewing the milky way etc from Ditchling Beacon!
Righto. Saturday it is. Meeting at Boxhill (Rykas) between 6:30 and 7pm, leaving 7:30pm if that sounds ok with everyone.
andyp69; Giuliano; Taks + 1; Trisckie; Wee Haggis and Wee Darlin (poss);miloFor anyone who doesn’t know where Rykas is, it’s just off the A24 between Leatherhead and Dorking: http://www.multimap.com/maps/#t=l&map=51.25583,-0.32291|17|4&loc=GB:51.2542:-0.32336:17|box%20hill|Box%20Hill,%20Box%20Hill%20Road,%20Mole%20Valley (the parking sign above the red circle is the parking lot outside Rykas). If you’re on the southbound carriageway of the A24, you can get to it through the entrance just before Burford Bridge Roundabout, otherwise take the exit on the roundabout onto Old London Road.
I get lost pretty easily so unless anyone has any other suggestions, I’m planning on a bimble to Brighton via the A24, A272, A23. Very unimaginative, soz Happy to receive suggestions!
If loads more people turn up than are listed here (highly unlikely), then we’ll need to use the cornerman system, otherwise it would be great if someone wants to volunteer as tail gunner to make sure we don’t lose anyone.
The pace won’t be too mental either. I don’t go that fast
