Thanks for replies in advance…

How essential is it that the registration of the bike that is declared when booking a journey on the Eurostar website, matches that of the bike that actually turns up on the day to board the train and make that journey?

Does third party cover to use any other bike on a policy include the use of that bike abroad?
Thanks!

I’ve used Eurostar and gone by a different car to the booking because of an accident. I don’t think they bother as long as it takes up the same amount of space.
I’d consult your broker about the second question as I’d say that policies differ in coverage. Not sure if you need a green card these days or a Bail Bond for Spain.
1 = As Mr Chunkymunky says2 = Probably not, but you would have to consult your insurance company. Your insurance will cover you to ride the insured bike anywhere in the EC, without the need for a green card or any extra premium, but it will normally only be the minimum cover required for the country you are travelling in…On a practical note, even if it does cover you, unless you are extremely fluent in foreign, how are you going to explain to the foreign police chappie or chappess how your insurance certificate for motorbike ABC123D covers you to ride E321FGH…It would probably be a long and involved process, possibly involving a visit to the local police station to inspect it’s facilities.
