Not only was the program 30 minutes late but the ‘15 minutes’ of racing that they finally showed was interrupted 2 or 3 times for adverts. In general the coverage was dreadful, very very badly edited and exceptionally poor quality. It was like they couldn’t give a f**k bout the WSB today.

I have a feeling that the bloke commentating and guest Warwick Noland weren’t even out there as they only seemed to coment on what they/we saw on screen.
Also, Race two was business as usual with the Jack and Whit show:D

was disapointed with coverage today, the track there looks crap, moto gp good today
still got all the TT stuff to watch yet aint V+ great 
Was well pissed off with the coverage, on euro with Motogp as well and also had prob with the picture jumping? thought it was the telly at first but turns out it werent? Had to turn to BBC 2 which i hate cos cant stand Perry giving it large all the time…like shes some kind of pin up for the bikers club or something, ok sounds like im ranting but come on, shes not the young cutie she seems to think she is, and she drones on like shes got the right to shove a mic in their faces…its all agreed beforehand anyway…anyway whatever…yeh i agree the commentry was shite on euro…they just shut up and said nothing at times…It was a good race by the god with the brill helmet, as usual…but i did think de avengelis ? had a blinder too !! to come 4th was brill !! Thought it was going to be more of a tussle with stoner and pedrosa and god, but the gap got too wide !! ha ha…one man race from then on…think haydon needs to rethink dont you?

The first race was shown live in its entirety on Eurosport 2 and it had Jack and Jamie doing the commentary. The other guys were used (not sure why?!) for the “highlights” bit that was shown on Eurosport 1 which was on about 1 hr or so after the live show had finished.
What time was that then?The listing was for 20.00. Bum:angry:

I wasn’t aware that they were highlights - both about 45mins each.
And the track looked pretty wicked, I mean have you been to Snetterton? LoL Rocky Mountains as a backdrop, all sorts of elevation changes and corners. Would suit me no probs.
ChunkyMonkey, as Andrew says above, the coverage started at 7pm and the race started about 7:15 or so. This race was on Eurosport 2 and the second race was shown on Eurosport.
i gave up on eurosport and watched it online on the wsb website instead.
no gripes with THAT service.

didn’t think it was that bad on the live coverage - picture quality was as with the AMA races a bit iffy but otherwise ok.
track seemed to provide for some decent racing and passing, altho the dust was clearly screwing with anyone even marginally offline
to be fair, it had a tall order to out do the motogp race. that was cracking

Image quality on Eurosport is TRASH. For some reason even normal telly (non HD) is like they download off Youtube or something. The Americans have had HD for years, why the hell can’t Europe? We should be seeing all bike racing in HD.
Though in their credit, Jack Burnicle and James Whitham are the best thing to ever happen in motorcycle commentating. Have you tried listening to a race without them? Like those monosyllabic and boring Australians they have to fill in when they’re stretched, or ITV4’s TT commentator. They make me want to fall asleep, total rubbish, no emotion or passion.
Have to agree…accidentally switched over too BBC coverage during the race and…well it was a 1000 times better picture quality, even though they both receive their images from the same people
anything from US if from NTSC format will look crap on our screens
isnt move to HD more a marketplace/demand/cost thing than laziness from eurosport? US market is massive = makes the transition to HD easier
my vote for commentators is for Toby Moody & Julian Ryder, i associate their voices and enthusiasm with motogp in the same way i do Murray Walker with F1, just a shame we have to put up with adverts

It wasn’t an NTSC signal. They always use their own TV people. It’s a shame as the camera people are obviously very, very good as we get amazing, sweeping angles and crazy smooth zoomed-in shots at 200mph(!?), but the image quality is just total garbage.
