The roads around us, like most places, are like ice rinks. Its obvious there’s a chance of problems on minor roads considering the amount of snow, ice and low temperature nights we’ve had. However, some people are just completely stupid…
Tonight a young lad in a kak Honda Civic came round the corner, mounted the curb and buggered his offside front wheel. Our neighbour went out to help them, followed by us. I had to explain to the driver how to drive on ice cos he had no idea. Straight after that Dave noticed the front wheel wasn’t turning so the car was knackered. The driver called a recovery truck and some m8s and while they were waiting for the truck his m8s carried on trying to push the car. All you could hear was the wheels spinning like mad. I had to go and move the Nissan from the front of the house in the end cos they were getting a bit close to it and I could see them all asking the driver who owned the car and saying it should be moved so they had more room…to **** things up! :doze:
When the recovery driver turned up our neighbour and his missus called us to tell us to watch what was going on cos they were laughing at the carry on. Watching the recovery driver jacking the car up, putting wood under the front tyres and then watching the planks go shooting out the back of the car the minute the driver accelerated was comical. In the end the four of us all stood outside and watched them for a laugh…was certainly a case of Laurel and Hardy.
When the recovery driver eventually decided to winch the car on backwards, the ramp on the truck, under the offside front wheel of the car, got shoved back and off the ground, so as the car was pulled up the other ramp the front right side was just hanging in mid air!! Have to say, this certainly entertained us for the evening! :w00t::w00t:
