Electric Supermoto.

Is that our future?

Street Supermoto without Akrapovic wouldn’t be the same experience but quiet Enduro in the forests makes sense.

looks good but dont think i’d get one. imagin garret taking one off road he would electrocute all the fish:D

Sorry.

Not Quantya, the Zero - come on mate, there are articles and pictures on this very site about it - http://londonbikers.com/articles/11934/zero-s-two-wheeled-commuting-of-the-future.

Yes, it’s the future. Which by it’s very definition is not now, so don’t worry (just as was said on the KTM Forum).

And yea, I’d shock the sharks in muddy lakes! At least there’s no radiator to smash!

Off you go then

But at the cost involved for the technology, it might not be the best time to buy right now anyway.
If I were you, I’d wait until, the ‘future’ as you put it; you will more than likely get more value for your money after the early adopters have gone for it.

I haven’t met the inventor of the Quantya  , so - http://www.50cycles.com/zero/zero-s.shtml.

Mind you, it does look more SuMo like!

looks cool on the promo, you could get away with riding a lot of places off road without being heard!

Price: £7,650
(exc. V5 registration)
Delivery: £100

OUCH! imagine the KTM you could get for that? Husky 09 range!?

for that money i’d get this and have some change left over:)

If anyone is interested, we will be stocking either the Zero or the Quantya quite soon!!

On the farm?

no thank you:)

Kind of, but in our ‘top secret showroom’ …

25 miles range or 2 hours?? well which is which cause in 2 hours I am sure I can do more than 25 miles…

If this is the case they will only be used for commuters… and for short ones of let’s say 12 miles 1 way max to get 22 miles return trip. Unless they have charging sockets around london… or I can take it inside the office:) can’t see the use of it.

I would probably buy one if the Gov would help founding the purchase and adding plugs for these bikes.

25 mile range means 50 miles in a straight line, or 25 there and 25 back…

Have just test rode a Quantya, speed and torque are really good also well balanced and handles good too.

And I test rode the Zero S - http://londonbikers.com/articles/11934/zero-s-two-wheeled-commuting-of-the-future

BTW - ‘charging sockets’ can be found in any modern home, the Zero plugs in with a regular 3 prong ‘kettle lead’.

Still though, in 2hrs id expect to be able to go more than 50miles…

At 50 miles I could get to work and back and a 40mph odd top speeds ok for london I guess.

Waaaaay too pricey though.

Although it looks crap the Vetrix maxi-scooter can do 60mph, go nearly 70 miles and is 2 grand cheaper.

As a serious commuter tool these things need to develop more and become cheaper.
At that sort of money I can buy a great performing all rounder.

While these things are great to develop, they are only good if you make journeys that then have a specific pause long enough to recharge the battery again.

The better technology is the hydrogen fuel cell which could be replaced / topped up in the same way we fill up with petrol.

garret no one reads you articles:hehe:
