The loss of Evil got me thinking about Eddie Kidd. So did a bit of research and found out that he rode his first bike (actually a trike but I am not going to split hairs) since his accident in 1996…It was at some special event called Beyond Boundaries, not sure what it was about but I can guess…He opened the show on the 29th June 2007…
I saw a show about him sometime this year were he talks about his life and how he is coping with life now.
There’s a documentary being filmed about him and his fight to learn to walk in time for his daughters wedding:cool:
There was an interview on TV with him yesterday in connection with Evel’s death. He is clearly still very seriously affected by his head injuries.
But he is a fighter and hasnt lost his humour, i saw the one where he hopes to walk at his daughters wedding, one hell of a guy is eddie and I bet he does it.
He lives just up the road from me in Cheshunt. Might ask him along to one of our N.London/Herts meets;)
hey chunky, what a great idea, you have to let me know if he does agree to come, It would be great and I for one would love to wish him well personally…
well during the late summer…me and another LBer were down Boxhill…Eddie was down there…anyway…as we were about to leave, some bloke comes up and says ‘‘theres a fait going on a few miles from here…would you guys like to tag along?’’
so of couse i would’nt/could’nt say no…and we rode along side Eddie Kidd…there was about 12 bikes all in all…and we all followed Eddie into this event were his new Documentory ''White men can jump! ‘’ was being publicised…good stuff…
so anyways…we took off after an hour and i got to shake the mans hand…and he said ‘‘Thankyou’’ to me…:D,here are some pics i took on my phone…

smiled:D.
So now we know where you got your stunting tips from Shane;)
Its a proper shame…
Me and PBZ have attended some Cage Rage Fights recently supporting someone we know and Eddie was in the crowd and requested being taken in to the Cage and having his photo,s done with the Ring Girls…
It was all welcomed until you realised his Carers had just dragged him up the stairs in front on the whole crowd with his legs flapping about like Biggles Scarf !!.
He must no on the NHS !!
Tragic !!
