Strange way of selling i think?
I agree!
its attention grabbing advertising… not strange at all to any marketing department.
To a biker… its just… well… im speechless
That`s not how i would do it.
As it’s for an indicator buzzer he’s just illustrating what might happen if you leave your indicator on while approaching a junction - by fitting this item of safety equipment you may avoid this scenario.
it’s a buy or die advert, taken to an extreme.
Sort of works too…I’ve left my indicators on once or twice and had people pull out…Not a lot I could say to them really ( I was riding slowly)
How loud is it???
It’s strange that self cancelling indicators are not standard on bikes by now - it’s easy to forget to switch them off - and it’s not as if as bikers we don’t have enough problems approaching junctions anyway - without adding to them by not turning our indicators off. . .
my old accumen alarm had something like this. it’d start beeping after 30 seconds, getting louder and faster the longer they we’re on for.
Never left them on, only knew about it when I was sat at a junction with a lorry trying to park up and unload had blocked the road completely. I heard the beeping and thought the alarm had gone mad. Quick check of the manual, turned that particular feature off.
not sure if i’m making this up but some pf the old bikes had a cancelling system on them. Basically you put on your indicator and after 10 or so flashes it would turn off. Only problem with that is if you’re sitting in traffic you have to keep turning on your indicator if your waiting to turn.
My VMax is such an old design, they self cancel. \o/
Interesting ad.
jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssssssssssuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuussssssssssssss ouch! Well my acumen sounds a beep after a short time if I leave my indicators on I keep meaning to disengage it but it does help
Not a marketing tactic I would ever have used when I was in sales and marketing. Effective maybe but also open to objections and could offend.
He’s charging alot for a 50p buzzer!
What are indicators:w00t:
Those things you sell as optional extras on BMW’s ![]()
BMW I think used to have them late 70’s early 80’s I believe they were stopped because blind people were stepping out infront of bikes, thinking they were at pedestrian crossings.
Thats what was bandied about at the time anyway.
I must admit it is rather a peculiar way of selling something. someone comes into work occasionally with one of these and they are so loud and sound stupid; i cant refrain my self form laughing at the sound of it … doesn’t help that his alarm on this thing is somewhat similar. :hehe:
lol,
