I know it’s late as hell :w00t:, but I want to spend Easter (10th to 13th April) riding around Wales.
My idea is going to Swansea the first day, then to Barmouth the second, spend the third looping the north of Wales and finishing somewhere around Newton, and then the fourth come back via Worcester and Oxford. I have a GPS, so I’m not scared of riding unknown roads. I plan to do around 200 miles a day on roads that are challenging at 60mph. Probably the cost will be £160 plus gas plus pints.
Do you have any tips on which places would be best to get acommodation? Does anyone want to join this improvised/badly planned ride?
Man, the internet is incredible, I got three rooms around Wales for my travel. I got all of them through this website, which is bloody cool if you don’t know much about an area. I tried the place recommended in this thread, but they didn’t answer the phone and I’m quite sure they will be full. Maybe I’ll stop by to check it, though.
I’ve got the last single rooms in every one of the places I’ve booked, so this will be a solo ride. Anyway, if someone is going to be riding around, maybe we can meet. I’ll be in Cardiff the first night, in Snowdonia the second, and somewhere in between the third. I already have decided the routes to go and come from Wales, while I’ll decide the two days there later.
