Guys, there I was out for a late night ride last night down to Brick Lane ( Bethnal Green / Liverpool St area ) , and remembered that the Bagel Factory is open 24/7 . So got down there along with the cabbies there were a few bikes and lots of parking space… And of course the best thing you can get hot soups, bagels, coffees etc etc 24 / 7 for small money
Attached is a few pictures of the parking down brick lane and there is plenty of room to accommodate at least 30 of us… The smaller Cafe’s close at 8 so they all close away and the space just free’s up…
Anyone fancy a coffee and a bagel Saturday night 9 ish ? If you don’t know the way we can pick you up near any one of the mainline stations. If a curry is more your thing then grab one of them too.
Hey Lee! Sounds good mate. I will be in Spain (Can’t say unfortuanately though) but I would join you otherwise. Perhaps we can have another meeting? The way thisngs are going my wife will either divorce me or join me on a bike, lol
Hi mate, sorry to piss on your fireworks so to speak but I was born and bred just around the corner and there has been a rift with the local residents/publicans/ bikers and the cab drivers for years, let me explain.
The Public Carriage Office has been lobbying for years to have that area designated as a Taxi Rest Point and in doing so have gained support from the Locals as in the past the drunks from the Pubs tipping out and the undesirable eliment of bikers have clashed severly in the past and a lot of revenue has been generated through the fines that arise.
Basically the Police use the bikers as an excuse along with the drunks as the resons for the local unrest and they will move you on instantly with or without a ticket.
A quick stop for purchase of begals is put up with but a more planned rest stop looking anything like a biking meet will ruffle the feathers of everyone mentioned instantly.
Yeah I know what you mean…I have hoped and prayed for a bikers meet over that way since I used to go and look at the bikes outside the 59 Club when I was an ankle biter and they were based literally round the corner in Yorkton Street approx 1974-75, I even got meself involved with being the Teaboy and the Bookies Runner for the bikers. F**king shame though as there are a massive amount of bikers that are still living there or who are still members of the 59 Club with no where to go over there. (59 Club has long gone to Barking).
Maybe we can poach them over to use at the Cubana…
