Dunlop Roadsmarts?

Need a new rear tire, currently running the Bridgestones that came with the bike.

thinking of fitting Dunlop Roadsmarts.

anyone got an opinion of them?

good value?

get michelins pilot road 3’s or 2’s if ur on a buget

I used Roadsmarts on my Fazer. They were really good in the dry, I’ve been told that PR3s are better in the wet.

I’d use them again if they weren’t so expensive. I’m using cheaper pirellis at the moment.

I am on about my 6th pair of roadsmarts. Brilliant all round (eerrrrr sorry) tyre. Even good on a trackday - couple of slips but that was my fault. Up to 8000 miles on a rear (1000cc)

I love my Roadsmarts. If you can afford the Roadsmart 2 give those a try. I’m still on the Roadsmart 1 as I can never wear a pair out at the same time so I’ll probably carry on with the Roadsmart 1 until they are discontinued. I’ve gone through 3 rear and 4 fronts now.

As mention above the PR3s are supposed to be slightly better in the wet that the Roadsmart 2s, but the Roadsmart 2s win ever so slightly in the dry. The previous sentence is based on various reviews I’ve read and not my own personal opinion. To be fair I think the tyres are like for like but I do want to try the PR3’s just because I really like the look of the tread.

strange ratio of tyre wear you’ve had daniel…2 rears to 1 font is common and consistant hard cornering equal pairs,you have many punctures?:Whistling:

I know. I dunno how but there was a front I had that was like a race slick on the right hand side and the centre tread and left side was equal (about 2mm). I had it brand new so I don’t know what happened there <scratches head>.

when you’ve had your off’s on the bike have you checked that the wheels are inline and the front is not slightly twisted in the yokes? fazer jay’s front was unevenly worn and i’d say thats the issue

Yeah. I always get a mechanic to give it a once over even if I just drop it.
