It breaks my heart but my compressed nerve injury means I can’t ride this anymore so I’m having to sell my 749. It’s done about 7,500 miles and since I bought it in November I’ve had a £1000 service done, some cosmetic work and the belts and fueling adjusted.
In short, it is now a peach.
I’m looking for around £4,000 but make me a sensible offer
Ask PJ if he’s interested, I think he’s still missing his visits to his local Ducati dealer.
Seriously though, its a wonderful looking bike, if only I had the money! :w00t:
Heh! I think PJ tears past the old Ducati place on his BM these days, marvelling at the fact that all the parts of his bike are still on when he gets off it again
I love this bike but I can’t ride it anymore and it breaks my heart.
Post it up on Ducatisti - the classifieds are free and there are always people looking for 749s there. Sad it’s got to go tho. Have you tried different bars? I put some Gilles adjustable on mine - they make a big difference.
As far as sale goes, well that’s what happens when someone has something you want and you give them money for it So far the best offer I’ve had is if I chip in another £6k for a BMW GS 2007. One previous careful owner - 14,000 miles, you may have seen it on telly
Apparently it’s been back in the UK for a little while. Serviced, has new tyres and running well so I’m told. But seems a complex way to get rid of my 749 on reflection
I got hungry for one of these after hearing one come up behind me in a tunnel with its dry clutch and Akro’s it sounded amazing as it revved up. I can totally understand the addiction from that side. Maybe I should get a sale price for my bike… part ex an 05 R6? :w00t:
