I have an 02 DRZ 400 s, and i’m having a little trouble with it. The problem is at tickover, starts ok, then when i am going along and i come to a halt at junctions etc, the engine dies!!
not all the time but most of the time, which has pis-ed me off no end, also seems to be a little stutter when i accelerate? Any advice as to what could be the problemThanks guys n gals…
Check the idle, you may have it set to low or you may well have a dirty needle (not in the drugged out skanky way)!!
I’m no mechanic, but I’d start by checking the idle speed, checking & cleaning the carb, checking the airbox isn’t obstructed, the filter clean and no airbox hoses are loose/leaking. Then check the battery condition, ensure there’s no problem with the electrics (regulator/rectifier/alternator)…
