Carry on reading to find out how to make £70 for you, and £50 for London Air Ambulance.
For many years I have been volunteering to test new brands of contact lenses or new solutions etc through a centre that does tests on behalf of companies. They are based just off Victoria Street half way between Victoria Station and New Scotland Yard.
Trials usually involve either a long period of trying a product, up to two years, during which you get free lenses and solutions but have to attend a series of examinations and completing several questionnaires, or short studies involving a small number of visits to their office where they make payment for your time.
They are always on the look out for new volunteers. Currently they are after people who are not contact lens wearers but who suffer from dry eyes.
This is the message I got recently -
*I am writing to inform you that we have a short term paid study using eye drops to relieve symptoms of dry eyes.
The study involves 3 visits. 1 enrolment lasting 45 minutes, 1 dispense visit lasting 1hour and 45 minutes, and a 4 weeks follow up visit lasting 1 hour and 45 minutes.
There will be a payment of £70.00 on completion of the study.
We are looking for non contact lens wearers.
If you are interested please contact me as soon as possible via email or telephone so we can discuss further.
Please find attached an advert listing the dry eye symptoms.

If you get in touch with the organisation, please let me know and tell them I sent you as in addition to the £70 they will pay you, they will pay me £50 for every person I find for them. I will donate every £50 they pay me directly to London Air Ambulance.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions about what is likely to be involved. Normally it is just eye examinations, including taking photos, and a bit of sight testing like at any opticians. Full details etc will be provided by OTG before you sign up to anything.
