Dropping your Bike

ill be honest here i have dropped my bike four times on the floor but never onto someone elses pride and joy2 x sv650s

2 x Bandit650s

dropped my Fazer twice in the first six months after passing my test but never again after that

Dropped the bandit twice this year.

One on Trafalger Sq when a van cut me up and once being a prat in a petrol station and I was stationary at the time :doze:

Twice on the floor for me, luckily both times I have kinda broken the fall so no damage

Only once - luckily Debs wasn’t pillion and even luckier it wasn’t my bike

Ive dropped her once on the floor, well actualy i lent her up against the van and she fell over. Sent her sliding along the road once so far aswell, only fugged the slidders though

Might be adding to this list after cadwell :w00t:

Why would anyone want to do such a thing?

I dropped my bike on the 6th day after purchase…

 over the past 11 years I must have dropped my bike about 15 times. It would have been an annual event except last year’s higher than average number of instances resulted from moving from a low, easy to handle bike (Virago 750) to a heavier, taller bike (Bandit 1250).

Strongly recommend that anyone prone to bike-dropping attend a machine control course. Since I did one last year, I’ve not dropped the bike once

Just stop doing it, its not big and its not clever:w00t:

Dropped mine once … in front of a shed load of women and a load of you lot on the Breast Cancer Walk !!!

Never been so ashamed in all my life.:crying:

Lost count

Dropped my first bike 4 times on the first day that I took it out the showroom. Then took 10 centimetres off the seat with a bread knife, and didn’t drop that one again.

Current bike I have dropped 3 times, one of them with the help of a BMW!

Passed my test last Friday, bought a Bandit on Sunday and when got it home tried putting it on the centre stand and obviously didn’t have the knack and it toppled over, but I managed somehow to stop it from touching the floor.

I was kinda stuck, thinking how am I going to push it back up without help and didn’t want to let it go and damage it. Thought about calling girlfriend in the kitchen but she wouldn’t have heard me. I took a deep breath, yelled like a warrior and managed to get it upright again. Don’t think anyone saw.

Phew!!!

Only got a little bike so not so easy to drop but one of the first times I went out with hubby I nearly dropped it on his bike. I thought I’d put the stand down, but hadnt… it was nearly divorce there and then. Someone else has dropped my bike… in a petrol station trying to bump start it but somehow managed not to cause any damage (considering the noise it made when it went down)!

Only dropped one bike - the ZX9 I have now (not bad for 23 years continuous riding).
The touch button thingy for the immobiliser had got wet and woulldn’t work, so had to bump start the bike - trouble is, I forgot I had a dirty great tailpack on (was on the way back from Scotland), and when I went to jump on the bike it fell on me:Whistling:

Dropped the CBR125 x2

Never dropped the ER5

Dropped the SV650 x2 & Si should be fitting my new clutch lever as i type this

dropped 600 once
dropped blade twice, bast-ard thing

I’ve not dropped a bike for many years until last month when I reached the point of no return on a garage forecourt in italy on a hired BMW GS.:w00t: Might have helped if I was able to touch the ground:D:D:D

At the risk of tempting fate, can I ask why there’s no option for “Never”?
