Dropped me bike !

Well it had to happen at some point I suppose… was backing my bike into the bay at work put my foot down on a painted white (wet) line, and foot went sliding sideways !

The bike reached the point where it wasn’t going to stay upright so I wend down with the bike, put my right hand out to cushion the fall then used my left hand on the handlebar and right leg under the bike to try and give it an easy landing, which didn’t go too badly really… picked the bike up and the only damage done is small scratches to the brake lever, engine casing and exhaust.
I on the other hand have pulled a muscle in the inside of my thigh and a slightly tender shoulder (from picking it up).

Luckily it was in a concealed car park and not a busy junction so not too much damage to my pride !!! :hehe:

Fkn painted lines !

:pinch: Easy done.

At least you didnt have an audience

Woops se daisy’s…

smiled:D.

First time i dropped my bike was my first time at the Cubana Meet, certainly made an entrance :stuck_out_tongue:

and i was on it too… felt like it was all in slow motion :stuck_out_tongue:

Mine was at Sainsbury’s, in their car park by the cash point :w00t: With me still on it :pinch:

Not sure I would try to cushion the bike with my leg. My instinct would be to try and make sure it does not fall on me. The bike can be repaired and resprayed - dented pride cures in minutes - a broken leg takes a bit more to put right

I was on the bluddie thing when it happened :w00t:

Tried that once, fractured my fuggin elbow saving the bike not my brightest move

Unlucky mate.

oh mark!

well at least you was’nt moving at speed! hope the bikes not too sore, sounds like she had a soft landing:D

i buggered my wrist, not broke just badly bruised it,cocked a wheelie up! explian all when i see ya next;)

Unlucky mate - look on the bright side your hearing passing on your experience!

Fkn hell mate looking forward to hearing that story !!!

Ironically it was a leaving doo tonight so had planned to leave the bike at work overnight.
So, ended up walking to tube stations to get there and home - with a tender leg - sod’s law I think they call it :w00t:

haha yep sods law!

nothing major, i slipped, while the front was up, didnt drop it tho:D

Dropped mine today too :frowning: few scratches on the right fairing, and a front brake lever that has been bent 90 degrees forwards and now looks like a bulls horn lol.

At least now i got an excuse to order those black levers off ebay that ive been puttin off

Yeah, hate to admit it but Ive done this a couple fo times! Even more embarressing when you have to ask a bunch of fellas to help you pick her up !!!

Glad you didn’t get worse hurt Mark…give her a good clean and polish to make her feel better over the weekend

Cor! The things you girls do to get a bloke’s phone number;):stuck_out_tongue:

Only went and nearly did it again last night ! Stopped off on the way home from work to pick up a couple of bottles of wine, and had to take my other jacket out of my bag to make room for the wine. Rolled the jacket nto a ball and stuck it under the carego net on the back of the seat, climbed onto the bike then my foot snagged on the jacket and the bike started to tip !!! Luckily managed it straighten it up before the point of no return this time.

Not been my week, what with getting my fingernail caught in the zip on my textile trousers on Monday, ripping off the top of my fingernail - ouch.

not again!

i very nearly did one morning on teh way home from work, pulled up at teh lights and just lost my balance!! manged to hold it up tho!

Will see mate, not sure what I’m doing tomorrow yet… might be able to get to HB for a little while - will bell you if so
