After 2.5 years of legal wrangling, White Dalton came up with the goods and obtained a favourable result for me following my “smidsy” in stationary traffic on Long Lane off the M40. It was only 60% in my favour but at one point I was looking at walking away from it with just feeling lucky to be alive.
Moral of the tale: don’t use a designated filter lane to make a legal right hand turn if you know a car in the static lane is going to make a random and aggressive U-turn to drop their kids of at a school full of friendly witnesses. And if you can do that, you’ve earned the right to build your own lightsabre, Obi.

+1 Just completed my counterclaim against a non indicating or looking right turning car (into a garage)…will have my day in court. Had thought they’d gone for a 50:50 until some court papers turned up last week.
Aye, it was a long slog. In the end I left it to the lawyers. I think once it became evident that it was going to court, hell or highwater, they realised they wouldn’t stand up in front of a judge.
