flippin heck - talk about 50p 10p 50p 10p…LOL:D

Great vid

Nice use of the rear brake (for those who don’t know what they are for) ;):smooooth:

I bet he eat’s tyres riding like that!:D:D

This bike drifting video reminds me of those chavs that stick a spark plug down the exhaust of their 4 wheeled sh*tter, in an attempt to simulate the back fire effect you get from a performance tuned vehicle when unburnt fuel ignites and pop pops out.

IT’S FAKE DRIFTING (albeit still looks good)

This is how a drift or powerslide is performed (using careful throttle application) by a master of the art

Well, the R1 doesn’t have traction control unlike the M1 so fair play

Here is another master of the powerslide (drift). Randy Mamola on questionable Pirelli motoGP tires.

Although it did not end so well…

Jeeeez, it looks like they forgot to bolt the tank on the way it shot off :w00t:

Wish I could enjoy a day out like that. I always get halfway there and end up thinking bloody hell im going to trash my only form of transport.

I need two bikes

Could someone explain how this guy does it, surely it’s not by locking up the rear wheel with the back brake?

going into the corner on the brakes its pretty much engine braking kicking the rear out hard on the front brake, you can also trail a bit of back brake which settles the rear a tadge and helps with the side ways action.

coming out of the corner its simply a power slide. On a big thou its easier as you can slide it when you are more upright as shown here. On a 600 its harder out of the corner as you start to slide right on the edge of the tyre and have to pick it up sharpish and keep it pinned to keep it sliding. This isn’t really the fastest but its definitely the most fun if you get it right…downsides are…high sides hurt!!

Cheers for explaining Seb, I think i’ll stick to watching someone else doing it, than having a go on my next track day!

after 1 min 40secs! now this is proper drifting, this was last year but you should see him now!!

really is one of the best drifters in the world, he put on a drift demo at stuntwars 07 infront of some of the worlds top stunt riders!!

Again Awesome stuff

mental bike control

Thats not the back brake thats down shifting ;o)…

All very impressive but the first guy looks like he is getting it out into the corners under down shifting, even I a ‘novice’ manage that on my pony ER6 on the road, (be it for shorter slides).

The dodge of a blue bike into a corner while sliding was impressive

Power drifting is much more impressive.

If you like that, you’ll love this.Keep going into the Nickleback song.

I had no idea that the stay puff marshmellow man could bring it like that on track…
