Doom and Gloom

Why is it that everything still has a negative attitude towards things. Everybody makes out that it all ‘Doom and Gloom’ out there currently, I am aware that it isn’t fantastic, but if people thought positively about zed issues then it wouldn’t all be that bad.
I was just reading the new bike sales figures for February on a news site and all the members are going on about how Bikers are a dying trait and theres not point bike manufactures bringing out any further models. People cant seem to realise that there is no second hand figures available and if they were then they would be showing huge increases all the time. IF peoples attitude was more towards prosperity then maybe the world would be a better place.

I know this may sound stupid to some and i’m not trying to sound naive at all but it CAN be a heck of alot worse.

If it can be worse it will be worse, matter of time.

^^^^^^^^^^^^Bloody hell! captain pessimism in the corner! cheer up mate, the glass is always half full after all.

The glass is always full! Half with gas, half with liquid.

I would call it realist, every time you have hope for:

  • weather
  • lotto win (my favourite)
  • ordered meal will be good
  • that driver see you in the mirror
  • i have enough petrol till next service
  • sure is not slipper it just looking like that
  • i’ll be perfectly and warm in leathers
  • good i clean bike i dont need to do it for at least week now
  • no, no one is that stupid

Life proves me that if there is possibility that something will be worst, it will be.

Totally agree Mingmingmo - just look at the FTSE. Confidence is everything it terms of getting the economy moving.

Robert (Evilblade) - even you bought a new Street Triple recently, so surely you can’t believe everything is terrible - sounds like someone needs a hug!!

@Ally - :wink: yes

Well that was more like a tool for convenient travel across the City, and a childhood dream I guess.

So what we going to do to fight the gloom?

Your glass is to big .

But t’s still only half full.:):):)

half empty or half full, either way there’s room for more beer in the glass

Lets have a look at the site you were reading then matey?

Life is whatever you make of it… if you want to be miserable about something, life is miserable. If you decide to see the positive and just move on, you will be happy… To quote McCandless:

“So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservatism, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man’s living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.”

Stop worrying about little things and get out there and have fun

that would be a start! the friggin sun!!!
