Donnionton Park Noise levels

Im doing a trackday in march with focused at donnie, does anyone know if they do a ride by sound test from fixed points on the circuit or do they sound test you before you go out like brands? and how strictly they enforce the limit?

Its a 98DB day and im not sure my can will pass, ive got one of those removeable baffles off ebay but it seems to make not much difference when its in.

dont know what else i can do to get the sound levels down…any sugestions

By the way, anyone know why the noise level is so low? from my experience at moto gp a few years ago the sound of the GP bikes wizzing round was completely drowned out but a 747 taking off from the local airport!! seems odd they even have a noise level if its right on a flight path

Ride by dude.

sad.

Oulton is 102 now. I can just about make 103 on my 998 but no chance on the little 749. TBH, if a track is less than 101, there’s no point me even thinking of making the trip.

It’s not the tracks fault - it’s the agreement they make with the local council. At some point, they set the limit too low and people don’t come. When that happens, the track closes and local people lose their jobs.

It’s s sad state of afairs. Frankly, most tracks have been where they are for donkey years, so if anybody goes and lives next door to one and complains about the noise, they should be sent back to school.

oh well

looks like ill have to dig out a standard can from somewhere.
