well went to site, exactly 6 weeks after the accident, saw my cows, sorted a few things had a meeting to buy a 100kw log burning generator, very interesting, and then proceeded to collapse in agony and got driven to shop to pick up spare parts for bikes and then home…but still I did it and am on the mend…
Arm still knackered and showing no signs of improvement but it will take 2 months to show if it does at all and if not then its back to the operating theater if i am elligible…and many months more recovery time…
at the least another 4 months of hell but at least my strength and energy levels are on the up…and in 2 months I should be feeling a good deal stronger…and hopefully by then clear of all the bruises…I have come to hate bruises, not been a big bruiser in the past but the ones I have now still hurt after 6 weeks…
nice one mate! glad to hear your slowly on the mend. Still cant believe how unlucky you were and how syupid the car driver was. I hope your due a hefty amount of compensation for all this time off. Id take her to the foooking cleaners mate
hows the bike since the crash? you taken her in to the garage or are you waiting to do it yourself in time?
Glad to hear you’re able to function on a reduced level - got to be better than being bed/ house ridden.
Still seriously gutted - especially the nature of your injuries, and one very stupid cow, who could have been facing death by dangerous driving charges!!!
gotta give you 100% for trying ginger…but sadly doubt I will have the strength to get to brands, even a 20 mile car journey is hell at the moment…hope these new pain killers will help me from tomorrow…
we still dont have the full picture of what happened and I have totally no recollection whatsoever…i was unconcious for about 30-40 minutes and only came around after the ambulance men had removed my leathers…the story so far is what the police told the nurses and what they put in the report…the police have told me nothing…not that I have asked yet…wll do this week…
Hi 2Strokes, good to hear there is some recovery even though small, all those small steps will add up to a big improvement. Hope there is not too much pain to go with it and you’re getting some kip.
Lets hope justice is done and the driver is punished accordingly.
Glad to hear this Paul, hope your recovery continues, even if it is slowly. I think you’ll be amazed at where you’ll be in 6 months time compared to where you were a month ago, time is a fantastic healer.
yes I am trying my best not to push it but its so easy to do too much then have to suffer. Trouble is my body tells me the moment I have done too much not before and then I am in agony for the next 24 hours…today is agony day…very uncomfortable
