# Done for speeding after Hastings Trip 4 May

Just received a Notice of Intended Prosecution from Sussex Police, apparently I was doing 52 in a 40mph area on the A21 “North of Church Lane, Salehurst & Robertsbridge” during the Hastings Bank Holiday rideout.

So - be aware of that camera; not sure if it was a fixed or mobile one.

I am normally pretty good at observing speed limits and the position of speed cameras, so was very surprised to get this letter.

It was a mobile, put there for the day, probably made a small fortune.

hardley worth a ticket really…barely speeding 🙂

was it in a built up area ?

I vaguely recall seeing a white van on the left hand side in a layby, rural area but entering a town or village.

Sure I wasn’t speeding though. Ho-hum, in the absence of a “black box” installed in my bike proving what I was doing, I guess I’ve no choice but to pay up and take the points (brings my tally to 6).

Just another reason to NOT go via the A21 on mayday … nothing to do with road safety just a very productive money making scheme 😠
